Beloved son, grandson, brother, uncle, and friend.
Jesus was born on November 02, 1955 in El Paso, Texas to Agustina Sanchez Balcorta and Jesus Balcorta Sr. He was a proud Bowie HS student, Austin HS graduate and retired employee of the El Paso Housing Authority. He was also a “pioneer member” and supporter of Centro De Salud Familiar La Fe, a fan of the music of Johnny Cash and of “America’s Team” the Dallas Cowboys.
We wouldn’t be surprised if he asked our Tata Dios, “A quien le vas?”.
Jesus was preceded in death by his mother, Agustina Sanchez Balcorta, his father, Jesus Balcorta Sr., his paternal grandparents, Salvador and Eva Balcorta and his maternal grandmother, Juanita Reyes. Jesus is survived by his brother, Salvador Balcorta (Isaura Bravo), his niece, Claudia Balcorta Chavez (Manuel Chavez) and their son, Diego Chavez, his nephew, Alejandro Balcorta (Stephanie Ramos) and his daughters Adriana and Aida Balcorta along with numerous Balcorta and Sanchez family members.
Chuy will always be remembered by his loving smile and laugh.
Visitation for Jesus will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 4:00pm to 9:00pm with Rosary at 6:00pm at Martin Funeral Home West, 128 N. Resler Drive, El Paso, Texas 79912. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, March 15, 2024, at 10:00am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 602 S. Oregon, El Paso, Texas 79901. Graveside Service will follow at 11:30am at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragosa, El Paso, Texas 79907.
