Jesus Manzano

Jesus Manzano, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2026, at the age of 90. He leaves behind a lasting legacy rooted in faith, humility, and devotion to those he held dear.

Jesus was a man of great strength, not only in the work he did throughout his life, but also in the way he carried himself and cared for others. He was hardworking and dedicated, always striving to provide for and protect his family. He faced life’s challenges with courage and resiliency.

His insight, kindness, and steady presence were gifts to everyone fortunate enough to know him. He was a source of comfort and guidance to his family, and his actions spoke deeply of the love he carried for them.

Jesus is now reunited with his beloved wife, Yolanda Manzano, whom he missed dearly. Together, they shared a lifetime of love, memories, and commitment, building a family that remains a testament to the life they created together.

He is survived by his children: Maria Washington, Gloria Contreras, Juana Cervantes, Jesus Manzano Jr., Luis Manzano, Yolanda Rivera, and Guadalupe Alvarez.

He also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, each carrying a piece of his love and spirit in their hearts.

As his family mourns his passing, they can find comfort in knowing that the values he lived by and the love he shared will remain with them. His life will be remembered in family gatherings, stories passed down, cherished memories, and the generations that follow.

Jesus’s faith reminds us of the promise found in John 14:6:

“I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

May our dear father rest peacefully in the loving embrace of God, reunited with our cherished mother. May the light of his life continue to shine through his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, guiding them with the love and strength he gave so freely.

Visitation will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915, on September 7, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with the Rosary at the same location on September 7, 2026, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Funeral Mass will take place at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 7712 Rosedale St, El Paso, Texas 79915, on September 8, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the Committal Service at Mt Carmel Cemetery, 401 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, Texas 79907, on September 8, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
