Jesus was a resident of El Paso, Texas, and is survived by his daughter Lourdes Smasal, sons Diego Marcell Gallegos, Jesus Armando Rodriguez, brother Adrian Rodriguez, his nieces and nephews, as well as 4 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.
Jesus was an auto parts entrepreneur for over 50 years and was well-known in the auto parts community. He built a successful storefront business named Jesse's Auto Supply. He was blessed to have his uncle "Tio" Genaro at his side during the construction and set up of the auto parts. He was also blessed to have his brother Adrian and good friend Ramon to be a parts salesman alongside him. Jesse's Auto Supply was well-known throughout El Paso, Texas and Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua. A few years later, he mentored and partnered with one of his employees and opened Benny's Auto Supply.
In his younger years Jesus' hobby was road racing. He fully equipped his two race cars both with the name "Eightball". He with his Tio at his side road raced through the winding roads of various cities of Chihuahua. He also played men's softball and formed a softball team for Jesse's Auto Supply. The softball games brought together the families of his employees building strong bonds. He was also a sponsor of his daughter's softball team, The Jesse Jays, for several years making significant contributions to the mission of the Lower Valley Sports Association. He was also very involved with the Girl Scouts of America being his daughter was in scouting for 15 years and his granddaughter for 5 years.
He had a humble beginning in life, and his strong belief was to give of himself. Jesus donated to many local and nationwide foundations and organizations he felt would impact the lives of children, the elderly and the handicapped.
Jesus had a very outgoing personality and was known to be 'the life of the party". He will be missed by his loved ones and friends.
