Jimmie Ruth Batchelder, 92, passed away on August 4, 2017. Born in Breckenridge, Texas and lived in El Paso for over 70 years. Retired from EPISD as a paraprofessional, also having served her country during WWII working at Ft. Bliss for civil service driving staff cars and ambulances.
Preceded in death by her husband Harold Batchelder. Survived by two children, Sandra Martinez (Johnny) and Michael James Batchelder (Lori); 4 grandchildren, John, Josh, Sarah, and Justin; and 5 great grandchildren, Dylan, Griffin, Maddy, Olivia, and Jake. Very much the matriarch of the family up until the day of her death. In life she gave and gave and now she is at rest with God and joined together once again with her loving husband, Batch.
Visitation will be Tuesday August 8, 2017 from 5pm-9pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7pm. Graveside service will be held Wednesday August 9, 2017 at 10am at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
