Jimmy W. Colburn, 87 of El Paso, TX. went home to be with our Lord, Thursday after a short illness. Born in Freer, TX. He has been a long time resident of El Paso. Jim was an Army Veteran serving from 1953 to 1957 in the Army National Guard with duty in the Korean War conflict. He went on to serve honorably as a 20 year Law Enforcement Officer, in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Jim was an avid gardener, and an accomplished woodworker and furniture maker.
He is predeceased by his daughter Coleen Cogdill who passed away in 1977. Jim is survived by his wife of 44 years Darlene Colburn, son Jim Colburn Jr. (Sharon), Granddaughter, Christine Hesselberg (Blake), Great-Granddaughter, Megan Gollish (Greg), Step-Son, Michael McCarthy (Teresa), Step-Daughter, Kimberly Gilmore, Step-Grandchildren, Shannon Hanmer (James), Catheryn Moser (Kevin), Patrick and Taylor (Abdiel Fierro).
