Joann Smith

JOANN POOL SMITH was called home by the Lord on July 18, 2010. She was born in Birmingham, AL to Hazel Hawkins and Joseph Banks Pool on December 10, 1925. She was preceded in death by her husband Colonel Irvin D. Smith, Jr. She is survived by her four children; Irvin D. Smith III, Sara S. Bardsley, Joseph P. Smith and John C. Smith and wife, Sandra. She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Joann was and Elder and member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church. A military wife, she moved her family to 19 different locations during a 21 year period. She loved to travel and care for her family. Joann moved to El Paso in 1969. She was an active gardener who loved and lived life to the fullest. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at 10:00 AM at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 2155 Wedgewood, with Pastor Carlos Clugy-Soto officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the El Paso Humane Society, 4991 Fred Wilson, El Paso, TX 79906. Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at 1:30 PM at Ft.
