Took this picture in late October of 2019 at "Silly Vista"(as coach would call it back then when it was called Cielo Vista) as he putted with his son and
eagerly shared it with a few teammates from the 82-86 golf team before I went up to him and shared a nice 15 minute or so, conversation where he confirmed that our team was by far, his most memorable. He named everyone of us and asked if I knew where they were. He also named all the girls on the team at that time, which really surprised me because I forgot we had a girls team.
I have so much I can say about coach but I'm limited to only 2000 characters so I'll just say that I think I speak for all the lucky ones that got to play for him when I say that he was easily, the most patient person I have ever known having put up with all the mess of kids he inherited for all those years. He was the best!

My condolences to all of you. I knew Coach Joe Buck as my golf coach from 1976 -1979. He taught me the game of golf well. I always cherished his expertise in the game. We practiced and played many rounds together and had many laughs. May the Lord help you all during this difficult time and may Coach Joe Buck rest in eternal peace forever....Hit them long and straight in Heaven Coach. Respectfully, Sam Arredondo, Class of 79.
