Mr. John E. Barratt

John E. Barratt was separated from his earthly family and friends on November 5, 2012, at the age of 85. John joined his Heavenly Father, wife Louise, parents, siblings and many friends after a long battle with emphysema.

Born July 18, 1927 in El Paso to James and Leona Barratt, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Louise J. Barratt, and all his brothers and sisters. John is survived by daughters and husbands, Cynthia L. Barratt and Nat Adkins, Jody K. Scherr and Jay Scherr, M.D., and Jonny R. Gubachy and James Gubachy. Grandchildren, Jason, Jamie, Jasmine, and Sarah; Great Granddaughter, Brynn: Nephews, Jim, Mickey, Eddy, Bob, Sam, Butch, Doc and Frank; Nieces, Leona, Pat and Jessica.

John was a 40+ year employee of the El Paso Electric Company and member of Scotsdale Baptist Church. In later years he served as a consultant and angel investor to OCuSOFT Inc. and Alpha-Med, Inc., two prominent medical device/pharma companies. John enjoyed cruises, travel and golf and was blessed with longtime friends and family who always made him feel special.

Services will be held at the same location at 2:00 p.m., November 10, 2012, with interment to follow at Rest Lawn Cemetery.
