John G. Buttner

Mr. Buttner was a proud United States Marine Corps Veteran; He served aboard the USS St. Paul and also did a tour of duty of 18 months in Vietnam. He joined the El Paso Police Department in 1967 and gave 22 years of service as both a patrolman and detective.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan Guillermo and Dolores Buttner, and his brother, Sigfredo Buttner.

John is survived by his wife, Molly O. Buttner, daughter Celina C. Buttner, son John Oliver Buttner and his wife, Amber, his sister, Carolina Buttner of Guadalajara and his grandchildren Caitlan, Clark, Joelle and Olivia Buettner, who will miss their Wito very much.

The Buttner Family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, July 26th from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Martin Funeral Home East with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, July 27th at 9:30 am at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 2301 Zanzibar.

Interment will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery with Military and Police honors.
