John Leslie Huffman

John was born July 30, 1940, in Marion County, Ind. to Harry and Pearl Huffman. John served in the United States Army from March 14, 1958, to July 30, 1978. He retired as a Sergeant First Class. After retiring from the army, he graduated from El Paso Community College with an Associate Degree in Horticulture. He worked with several employers and then started his own landscaping business before retiring. He married N. Ruth Huffman Dec. 29, 1964, in San Rafael, Calif.

Survivors include his wife Ruth of El Paso; daughter Joan Huffman of El Paso Texas; daughter Jean and Brenton Ruddell of Centerville, Ohio and daughter Paulette and Michael McLaughlin of Gallup New Mexico; seven grandchildren Gregory Wilhite, John Wilhite, Mary Cole, Ryan Ruddell, Hannah Ruddell, Matthias McLaughlin and Tamberlynne McLaughlin; 2 great grandchildren Marceline and Genevieve Cole; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be March 16, 2026, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. with a prayer service at 1:30 pm at Funeraria del Angel Restlawn Funeral Home, 8817 Dyer, El Paso, TX 79904.
