

Jorge Mendez, 69, passed away in his home on November 18, 2025. Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, Jorge later spent many years in Denver, Colorado, a place he grew to love deeply. His adventurous spirit and appreciation for the outdoors made Colorado feel like a second home, and he carried a lifelong love for nature everywhere he went.
A man of many trades, Jorge took pride in working hard and helping others. He had a natural talent for fixing, creating, and learning anything he set his mind to.
His work ethic and determination were admired by everyone who knew him
Jorge was known for his warm spirit, sense of adventure, and his unwavering loyalty to the Denver Broncos. He enjoyed life fully-whether exploring the outdoors, sharing stories, or spending time with family or caring for his beloved little Chihuahua, Betty, who brought him constant companionship and joy.
He is survived by his two children, his son George Mendez and his daughter Michelle Mendez, his grandchildren, Lily Mendez, Jayden Kriegbaum, Violet Mendez, Xander Mendez. A viewing and service to honor Jorge's life will be held on Saturday, November 29th, 2025, at Hillcrest Funeral Home East in El Paso, Texas.Visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
