Jose Antonio Gandara was called back home by Our Heavenly Father, Wednesday June 29, 2022 at the age of 66. Jose, or Pepe, as everyone knew him, was born November 25, 1955 and was a lifelong resident of El Paso, Texas. He graduated from El Paso High School and attended Texas Western College. Pepe was always a hard worker obtaining his first job at 12 years old with a paper route and worked tirelessly his entire life. He later got into the heavy machinery business with great enthusiasm acquiring as much knowledge as he could and becoming top salesman. Soon thereafter he started his own business, Century Machinery where he developed many relationships. Pepe enjoyed lifting, running, hunting, camping, fishing, red wine, cold beer and a nice cigar. He had a great sense of humor and was an inspiring man to all who met him. Most of all, he was truly an amazing family man who did everything to provide for, protect, and care for his family. He is preceded in death by his father Ignacio Loyola Gandara and his mother Delfina Duran Green. Pepe was a beloved husband to his surviving wife Ana Velia Gandara and beloved father to his daughter and three sons: Violeta Lizette Saiz and Anthony Saiz (son in law) Jose Francisco Gandara, Luis Antonio Gandara and Viridiana Gandara (daughter in law) and Moises Gandara. He was a cherished grandfather to his 16 grandchildren, who were the apple of his eye and greatest joy: Zulma, Catalina, Karol, +Vidiana+, Isaura, Seidi, Lili, Felici, and Mauro Saiz, Romeo Gandara, and +Jose Maria+, Azelie, Maximiliano, Patricio, Francesca, and Humberto Gandara. Pepe is also survived by his siblings Jaime Enrique Gandara, Maria Dolores Gandara, Carlos Eduardo Gandara Sr., and Ismael Green. He is also survived by his cousins Margaret Duran, Deborah Sullivan, and Victor Duran and many nieces and nephews. Rosary and visitation will be Tuesday July 5th at 6 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home on Resler followed by Funeral Mass and burial on Wednesday July 6th at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
