Jose is survived by his wife, Maria Elena Lopez; his children Mary Rascon, Gustavo Lopez, Mike Lopez, Veronica Lopez, Ceci Lopez, Erik Lopez, his grandchildren Betsy, Erik, Kimberly, and Sarah.
Jose was preceded in death by his child Toni Zamora, and his grandchild Gussy.
He loved joking and telling his stories about his life and Camargo City. He enjoyed watching sports, cookouts, and spending time with his family. He was a good man with a strong attitude. He will be extremely missed.
Mr. Lopez also leaves behind 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
A visitation for Jose will be held Tuesday, July 22, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary service at 6:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Drive, El Paso, TX 79915. The funeral mass will occur Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 8011 Williamette Ave, El Paso, TX 79907. The graveside service will occur Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at 11:30 AM at Mt Carmel Cemetery, 401 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, TX 79907.
Serving as pallbearers are Jayden Salazar, Matthew Lopez, Gus Lopez, Anthony Lopez, Erik Lopez and Rick Rascon.
