

It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather and friend, Jose M. Navarro, who departed this life peacefully on August 21, 2025, at the age of 98.
A man of quiet strength and unwavering kindness, Jose was the cornerstone of our family. Born in El Paso, Texas, he lived a life marked by integrity, hard work, and devotion to those he loved. Whether through his gentle wisdom, his warm laughter, or the stories he shared from a life well-lived, he left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
A proud graduate of El Paso High School Class of 1944. Upon graduation he chose to serve his country and entered the military and fought in World War II. After his time in the military, he studied the electrical trade in Chicago, Illinois, later moving back to El Paso and opening his own electrical contracting company Sun City Electric in 1959. In 1968, he helped found the Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC), El Paso Chapter, to help support and educate the local electrical industry.
Jose is preceded in death by his loving wife Carlota of 64 years and his only brother Manuel Navarro. He is survived by his loving children; Jose (Leticia), Richard (Juana), David (Lisa), Elizabeth, and Raymond (Rosemary); 17 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild. Special thank you Ofelia Rodriguez for her devotion and loyalty to the Navarro family, and for helping Jose during his days.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 26th at Martin Funeral Home at 1460 George Dieter from 5 pm to 9 pm for visitation and rosary at 6 pm. The mass will be held Wednesday, August 27th at San Antonio De Padua Church, 503 Hunter at 11:30 pm. The burial will be at Ft. Bliss at 1:30 pm. A celebration of life will be held at the VFW Post at 691 N. Carolina, where family and friends will gather to honor his life and legacy.
