Josefina S. Armendariz

Josefina S. Armendariz, beloved wife, mother, sister and grandmother, was called by the Lord on Friday, May 13, 2016, at the age of 81. She took great pride in raising a family and later in life worked attentively as a secretary at San Jose Church and Santo Nino Catholic Church. Josefina was preceded in death by her parents, Romelia and Ismael, and her husband of 60 years Manuel Armendariz, her brother; Ismael Soto, her sisters; Estella, Olga, Bertha. She is survived by her sons Victor (Julieta) and Ricardo (Yvette), daughters; Patricia Salaiz (Benjamin), Maria Mona (Louis) and Josie Martinez (Anthony), 15 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, sister; Romelia Garcia and brother Jesus Francisco Soto; as well as sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday, May 16th from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 N. Carolina, with rosary beginning at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, May 17th at 9:00 AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 7712 Rosedale Street. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28
