Josefina H Damian

Josefina H. Damian, 81, was called to Heaven on July 11, 2015. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family. She was a beloved mother, wife, sister grandmother, and great-grandmother whose presence will be greatly missed. Memories of her great smile, love for her family, and her gracious spirit will be treasured forever. She was a strong woman who set a wonderful example for her family. Together with her husband, they raised a tight knit family. Every Sunday brought the family together at “mamas” house for love, laughter and food. She was born on January 18, 1934 to Eduardo and Elisa Hernandez. On June 29, 1958, she married the love of her life, Jose H. Damian. She was a long time resident of Canutillo, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents Eduardo and Elisa; siblings Hector, Salvador and Irene. She is survived by her husband of 57 years Jose; children, Ricardo, Jose (Barbara), Elizabeth (Eduardo), Josefina (Luis), Rosa, and Eduardo; siblings, Eduardo, Elva, Elisa and Roberto; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, July 16, 2015 from 5:00pm- 9:00pm with Vigil service at 7:00pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home West. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 10:00am at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Canutillo. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of the Valley.
