Josephine (Guerra) Strain

Josephine was born in El Paso, Texas to Jose and Concepcion (Velarde) Guerra on July 18, 1935. She went to high school at Jefferson High School in El Paso and graduated in 1955. She went on to earn a certification as a Medical Assistant, a field she worked in for many years. She was very involved in the care and rescue of animals throughout her life. Animals brought great joy to her life.

Josephine is preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Strain and her parents Jose and Concepcion (Velarde) Guerra

Josephine is survived by her children, Jorge Yturralde of Ruidoso, NM, Roberto Yturralde (Karl) of El Paso, TX, Virginia Rodriguez (Fred) of El Paso, TX, her two grandchildren Giannino and Clarisse; and her sister Connie Wright (Paul) of Milford, MA.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all of her and our friends for their love and support.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM with Rosary Service beginning at 9:30 AM at Martin Funeral Home West. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave., El Paso, Texas 79906.
