

Born in El Paso, TX he was the son of Placido Bernal and Maria Del Carmen Guzman.
He was a devoted Washington Redskins fan and an avid Dallas Cowboys hater.
He loved riding his motorcycle and playing his harmonica. Charlie was a loving, fun spirited person never to be seen in a bad mood. His love for his children and grandchildren was immeasurable. He will be greatly missed by his children, siblings and family.
He is survived by his 5 children, Charlie D. Bernal (Diane Bernal), Amanda Bernal, Leslie A "Bernal" Schreiner (Anthony Schreiner), Jason L. Bernal, Naoimi A Bernal, his 7 grandchildren, Angelie, Derek, Kamille, Xolani, Joshua, Urijah, Ava and his 6 siblings, Fernando, Carmen, Lísa, Antonia, Armida and Ana.
He was predeceased by his parents and brothers Placido "Kokes" Bernal and Edgardo "Edgar" Bernal.
A memorial for Charlie will be held Friday, June 6, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915.
