He is survived by his children Juan Manuel Avila, Fernando Alberto Contreras, Francisco Contreras and his sister Patricia Contreras Esquivel

Visitation for Juan will be Tuesday, January 20, 2026 with a vigil service at 7:00 pm at Crestview Funeral Home, located at 1462 North Zaragoza Rd., El Paso, Texas, 79936.
