Juan O. Ochoa

Juan O.Ochoa, 92, became our guardian angel on Friday, January 29, 2016. Born in Rotan, TX to Juan V. and Jesusita Ochoa, Juan was a decorated WWII veteran honored with a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star for his bravery while serving our country. After his time in the service, he spent 38 yrs working for EPISD, with 31 of those years as the head custodian at Cooley Elementary School. Our Dad was a caring, giving man with a witty sense of humor and a true genuine heart. He spent his life providing selflessly for his family which was his pride and joy. A loving husband, brother, father and the best grandpa. He is survived by his wife, Inez G. Ochoa. His children: Juan Jose Ochoa(Johnny), Guadalupe Romero(Pita), Henry Ochoa(Ricky), Rosa Maria Fonseca(Rosie) and Ivonne Ochoa. Siblings: Ruben Ochoa, Lorenzo Ochoa and Adela Alvarado. 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. We all were blessed to have called him ours. Please join us in the celebration of Juan’s life. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 3 from 5-9 at Hillcrest Funeral Home East, 1060 Carolina Drive. Prayer service: Wednesday, February 3 at 7pm. Funeral service: Thursday, February 4 at 9:15 at Hillcrest Funeral Home followed by interment at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
