June Evelyn Helms

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of June Evelyn Helms, of El Paso, Texas. June was a beloved friend and cherished aunt, who left us peacefully at the age of 92.

Born in Balmorhea, Texas, June was the daughter of Alma Cameron Helms (Shults) and Thomas Jasper Helms.

June was a beacon of love and kindness, touching the lives of everyone she met. Strong, independent, and full of humor, she brought joy wherever she went. As a devoted aunt and loyal friend, she was always ready with a warm smile and a helping hand. Her generosity and compassion knew no bounds, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

The keeper of family stories, June preserved and shared the history of generations, keeping loved ones connected to their roots. She now joins her beloved sister, Mary Joan Kaapke (Helms), brother Kenneth Helms, her parents, and dearest friends in the afterlife, where we hope she finds eternal peace.

June lived a full and meaningful life, and we are honored to have been a part of it. She is survived by her nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends who became family. Her legacy of love, strength, and friendship will live on in our hearts forever.
