Our dear dad, Larry Gold, born June 29th 1952 in Brooklyn, New York to Florence and Moe Gold, passed away April 14, 2021 peacefully in his home. He is survived by his amazing big brother Steve and devoted sister in law Karen.
Our dad was a caring and devoted father to all of us: Marla, Michael Brian and Toni. He cherished his dogs: Rosie, Keyboard, Prince and Lizzie. He loved all of his nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews: Dawn, Wai, Mollie, Michelle, Avri, Jada, Joy, Greg, Amanda, Neil, Joy, Gregory, and Gabrielle. He is also survived by cousins Todd, Amy, and family along with many other wonderful cousins in and out of town. He is preceded in death by many special and loved relatives.
Our Brooklyn parents grew up together and were childhood sweethearts. The rest is history! They will love each other forever.
Our dad has many cherished friendships from New York and Texas. Howie and Sonny all grew up together. Through his 42 years of living in El Paso, he has formed many special friendships within the community and of course his "Hello Pizza" family.
Our dad was a legendary pizza icon. He has been presented with numerous chef awards, including the "highest honor of all" being a finalist at the International Pizza Expo. Our dad always enjoyed cooking for others.
Our dad always saw the good in people and "his door was always open". He loved telling his stories and jokes. The "Hello Pizza" man had a magnetic connection with all of his patrons and friends who he considered family. He always looked forward to Camp Kadima's visits.
Throughout his childhood, our dad demonstrated leadership qualities which led the way to his passion of Hello Pizza. Our dad always instilled in us a strong work ethic. We were his very first employees!
We will always treasure our valuable memories of attending special events and milestones together: wrestling matches, fun vacations, pizza conventions, baseball games out of town, and celebrating holidays.
Our dad instilled in us incredible qualities such as: strong work ethic, seeing the good in people, demonstrating good positive attitude and always remember to smile and laugh.
We will miss his love, hugs and affection. He will be greatly missed. Larry Gold had a heart of "gold".
