I am so saddened to hear of Lety's passing.  I just found out from a co-worker and wanted to let you all know how much she meant to me!  I loved her dearly and was so fortunate to have her in my life.  My sincere condolences to you all! Love, Kelli Blanco

Lety was such a beautiful friend.  I met Lety at Albertsons.  We would talk for what seemed like hours.  She helped me with her love and prayers when I was going through a tough time with one of my children.  She also made the best banana bread. She will forever be in my heart .  She had the Holy Spirit in her and her faith was amazing.  May God bless your family and console you.  Her light will always shine among us.

Your mom was filled with a special light, the same one that you all carry.  Even the last time I saw her at the hospital, she did her best to smile.  Trying to keep her mind off of the situation, I asked her about what I should serve with my Thanksgiving meal as a side dish.  Half way through her recipe, she became distracted by pain, and then several minutes later, continued telling me the remainder of the recipe, catching us all off guard!  She was a dear, a love, and will always hold a special place in my heart.

I was fortunate enough to have met Mrs. Benavides roughly a year and a half ago. I was seated next to her during one of her daughter's angel events. I was impressed with the light that emanated from her...it was a thing to behold. I was also amused at how much she and her husband interacted with one another...the obvious proof of a lifetime of deep friendship and love. (She was making sure that her husband didn't eat too many sopapillas...much to his playful dismay, but you could tell that he appreciated the love from her...he never objected.) She also made sure that I had sopapillas to take home with me...which was hilarious. When we went outside, after the event, she told me about the enduring love affair that she had with her husband. That they had both been dating other people but when her husband saw her...that was it for them both. She loved being adored by her husband...and he lit up when the story was retold. They interacted with one another like teenagers...holding hands, giggling, smiling...loving one another. I am being blessed now with the memory of that evening. Mrs. Benavides continued to send messages through her daughter...telling me hello, sending love and congratulating me on successes.  It was as if I had known her my entire life.  I want to thank Erika for sharing her Mom with me. The evening that I met her, her light shone on me and gave me great comfort and helped me to know that a better time was coming. I will miss knowing that her physical form is here...but even as I type this, I know she is still here. Her physical smile was as warm as sunshine...but her spirit...it is as bright as a star. My deepest condolences to Erika, Christopher, Mr. Benavides and all of her family and friends for your loss. Our Heavenly Father has another beautiful angel in heaven now.

I will always be thankful for seeing her one last time. Mrs. Benavides always made me feel so loved and welcomed. The sleepovers at your house, homemade horchata, the laughs and the hugs. Your mother was a beautiful woman with a beautiful heart and soul. Mr. Benavides, thank you for allowing me time spent with your family. Erika and Chris, thank you for being such wonderful people. My entire family is sending love and light to yours. ❤

Your mom always had such a warm smile that would put everone at ease.  Her love would shine through her eyes.  She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.  My deepest sympathies to you and your family. You are all in my prayers.

I was looking  at  all of the beautiful  pictures...absolutely  beautiful.  The exquisite  sparkle  and the Sunshine  Everlasting warmth and welcoming  rays of  love  that   radiated from Angel "Lety", your  mom, as it is so vividly seen in each person  in your family,and to everyone  who was around  her.

For God so loved the world that he gave life to all of us so we would share our love amongst ourselves and we had Letty in our lives to love and share the memories. She will forever live on in our hearts. Condolences & love to family!
