Lorenzo Valladolid, 77, passed away on May 27, 2024 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on October 18, 1946, in El Paso, Texas. Lorenzo was a wise and practical man who had a witty and independent nature. He was a skilled cook and very handy around the house. He could figure out how to do just about anything. He also dabbled in poetry and would occasionally write special poems for his devoted wife, Elvia. Lorenzo was known for cracking jokes with strangers and had a playful nature, especially with children. He also had a keen sense of style and always dressed well.
Lorenzo served in the United States Air force as Sergeant from 1965 to 1969 and later pursued a career as an auditor and then analyst, working at White Sands Missile Range and Fort Bliss. He graduated from Southern Methodist University with a bachelor in business administration. Lorenzo was happiest when listening to music, eating good food, and spending time with his children.
He is survived by his wife, Elvia Flores Valladolid, and his children: Kristina, Veronica, Lorenzo, Andre, and Gerardo Valladolid. Lorenzo is also survived by his siblings: Rosaisela Flores, Elvira Garcia, and Alfredo Guerrero. He was preceded in death by his parents, Natalia Valladolid and Lorenzo Dominguez, and by his sisters Genoveva and Juanita.
A visitation for Lorenzo will be held Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Martin Funeral Home East, 1460 George Dieter Drive, El Paso, TX 79936. A prayer service will occur Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, 1460 George Dieter Drive, El Paso, TX 79936. A religious ceremony will occur Friday, June 14, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church, 10970 Bywood Dr, El Paso, TX 79936. A graveside service will occur Friday, June 14, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, TX 79906.
