Loretta Constance Gantkessy

Loretta Constance Gantkessy, 80, of Santa Teresa, NM, passed away September 04. 2018. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 20, 1938. Loretta Contstance Szalwinsky graduated from Detroit High School and received a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from UTEP. She worked at Providence Memorial Hospital in El Paso in the ICU as well as the Cardiac Care Unit. She also worked in Interior Auto Design at Ford Motors of Dearborn, MI. She was a member of Ford Motor Wives Club, and had a passion for sewing and gardening. Loretta is survived by her Common-Law Husband and long-time partner, Rudy Romero and Grandchildren; Leah Danel Gantkessy and Dena Lynn Gantkessy of Chatham, MI. Erica Lynn Perry of Brooklyn, NY, Andrew Joseph Gantkessy of Las Cruces, NM., Great-grandchildren; Travis and Ailee of Chatham, MI.; Cousins, Mary-Anne Bennett of MI, and Arlene Price of Sierra Vista, AZ. Her loves of her life were her dogs and greatest dream was to sell her home in Santa Teresa to move to build a home with Rudy and live in the cool mountains of New Mexico. She will be remembered not only for her stern and stubborn nature but her huge & loving heart. She will be missed by one and all.
