Louise G Rivera

Louise “Lou” Gallagher Rivera passed away peacefully on August 12, 2015. Lou was born to Viola McEnaney Gallagher and Joseph Thomas Gallagher of Valley Stream, Long Island, NY on July 29, 1935. She earned a Masters degree from the University of Texas at El Paso and spent nearly 40 years as a teacher at Canutillo elementary and Deanna Davenport elementary schools.

Lover of all things Scottish Terrier, Dallas Cowboys, and a serious foodie, Lou will be remembered as a loving wife and mother with a heart of gold.

Lou was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Joseph Thomas II and Thomas Joseph Gallagher; Son, Michael. Lou is survived by her husband, Richard Cash; Son, Mando; Ex-husband, Armando; Nieces, Phyllis and Anna; Nephews, Joe, Julius, Gustavo; Gallagher cousins, Mary Kay, Katherine, Joanne, JT, Arthur, and Ed; sisters-in-law, Marie Riepenhoff-Talty, Noama Gallagher, Armida; K-9, Angus.

Memorial Service will be Monday, August 17, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Doniphan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of El Paso 1440 Miracle Way, El Paso, TX 79925. Phone:(915) 532-5699.
