Chano was born to Jesus and Guadalupe Martinez.
He later married his wife of 27 years, Erica Martinez.
He also leaves behind his children Caleb, Valerie, Jacob, Gavin, Cindy and Carlos He will be remembered as being a devoted husband and loving father who dedicated his life to not only his family but also to his baseball players whom he coached for over 20 years.
Chano is preceded in death by his parents Guadalupe and Jesus Martinez as well as his brother Jesus Martinez Jr.
Chano is survived by his wife Erica, children Caleb Moreno, Valarie Martinez, Jacob Martinez, Gavin Martinez, Cindy Murillo, Carlos Murillo., and siblings: Christy Payan, Angelica Martinez, Irma Fragoso and Martha Zubiate, extended family and friends.
Chano’s family will receive friends and family for a visitation on Thursday September 1, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service to begin at 6:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 N. Carolina. Chano will be laid to rest on Friday September 2, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery East, 12400 Montana Ave.
