

Lucille F. Estrada, 70, loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away peacefully with her children by her side on February 5, 2012. Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, she attended Ysleta High School, raised seven children, and earned a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies Degree in Bilingual Education from The University of Texas at El Paso in 1996. Lucille taught Bilingual Education at Loma Terrace Elementary for ten years and retired from the Ysleta Independent School District in 2006, devoting her time and love to her husband, children and grandchildren.
Lucille married Roberto Estrada on February 19th in Las Cruces, New Mexico and lived in South Bend, Indiana; Phoenix, Arizona; Socorro, Texas; and El Paso, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roberto, and is survived by her sons, Roberto Chavira, Alberto Chavira, and Andres Estrada; and her daughters, Patricia Chavira, Rebecca Ramirez, Raquel Alva (Rodolfo, Jr.), and Veronica Tarango (Antonio).
Grandchildren Jonathan and Matthew Ramirez, St. Louis, Missouri; Kassandra Chavira; Faith Baggs; Sebastian Chavira, La Grange, Georgia; Luis, Amanda, and Victoria Ruvalcaba; Ezekiel and Elise Alva; and Daniel, Emilio, and Michael Estrada, Pleasant Grove, Utah. Lucille was a member of the Open Arms Community of El Paso and Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Funeraria Del Angel Martin East with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, February 10, 2012 at Our Lady of the Valley with Interment at Fort Bliss National Cemetery at 1:00 pm.
