Graphic artist and comic book illustrator, Luis Fernando Cabrera passed away on Oct 14, 2022 at the age of 50 surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest. He was a bright and creative soul, someone who could always make you smile and laugh. He graduated from Ysleta High School in 1991, where he was in ROTC all 4 years. He entered the Army right out of high school where he was honorably discharged and then entered El Paso Community College where he graduated in 2003 with a degree in Advertising Graphics and Design. Later in life he pursued his dreams and was able to work in a career that he loved and became a truly amazing artist in New Mexico. Despite the distance, he never stopped loving his small family here in El Paso, Texas. He is reunited with his parents Javier D. Cabrera and Margarita H. Cabrera. He is survived by eldest brother, Jesus J.Cabrera, Mercedes Torres (aunt), Elsie Huerta (aunt) and Roberto Zavala (uncle), all his loving cousins and his fiancee, Kim Kummet.
Memorial services will be from 9am to 12pm on Wednesday November 9, 2022 at Martin Funeral Home East, 1460 George Dieter, El Paso, Texas 79936. Following, an interment at 1pm at Mt Carmel cemetery, 401 South Zaragoza Road.
