Luis Ambrosio Carrasco, 94, left this world to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, October 29, 2018. Luis was born in Alamogordo, New Mexico, on November 2, 1923, a Navy veteran having served during World War II, a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 2753. He was a storyteller and proud of his military service. Luis retired from Southern Pacific Railroad after many years of service, hard work and dedication. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Emma and son, Victor and is survived by his wife: Magdalena, sons: Luis (Dolores), Hector (Marjorie), Daniel (Vickie), Carlos (Rosa), daughters: Sylvia (Jerry), Melissa (Miket) Rebecca (Daniel), grandchildren: Stephanie, Juan Luis, Ramon, Michael, Ben, Nick, Philip, Casey, Noelle, Jeremy, Bonnie, Robert, Brittany, and 15 great-grandchildren and brother, Regino. Dad/Grandpa, you will be greatly missed by all your family. The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. Visitation will be Sunday, November 4, 2018, from 4:00-8:00pm with vigil at 6:00pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina. Funeral Mass will be Monday, November 5, at 12:30pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with interment to follow in Fort Bliss National Cemetery with military honors.
