Luis Antonio De Luna Sr.

August 9, 1940July 3, 2018

Luis was born August 9, 1940 in El Paso, TX and passed peacefully at home with his family by his side on July 3, 2018. He attended El Paso High School and graduated in 1958. He served in the US Air Force from 1963-1967 as an airplane mechanic. He married the love of his life Maria Conception (Connie) Vasquez on October 5, 1969. He worked for the El Paso Electric company from 1974-2002. His passions in life were for his family and his cars.

Luis is survived by his wife Connie (AKA Blondie) De Luna; his four children, Ann Marie (Carlos) Rubio, Henry De Luna, Luis Jr (Ashley) De Luna, Raymond (Jamie) De Luna; his 10 grandchildren, Roxanne, Brenden, Adan, Austin, Taylor, Sofia, Samantha, Cruz, Luis III, and Baby De Luna. He is also survived by several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins. Luis is preceded in death by his parents and many other family members that are welcoming him on the other side.

Visitation will be held Monday July 9th from 5pm-8pm with a Rosary at 6pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home 5054 Doniphan Dr. Mass of Christian will be held Tuesday July 10th at 11:30am at St. Luke Catholic Church at 930 E Redd Rd followed by Committal Service at 1:30pm at Fort Bliss National Cemetery at 5200 Fred Wilson Rd in El Paso.

Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the USAF during the Cold War. Millions of Americans slept safe at night because you and your fellow Servicemen stood ready to defend our Country. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
