Luis A Martinez

Born in Tucson, AZ on 04-14-33 and passed away in his hometown of El Paso, TX on 07-03-24. He is survived by his wife Mary Elizabeth Martinez and his children Eric Jerry Martinez, Sandra Martinez, Jose Luis Martinez, and Elizabeth Christine Martinez. He has joined his daughter Claudia Martinez with his passing. He worked as a Car Inspector for Southern Pacific for 45 years. He served in the Army during the Korean War Era. He was an avid Catholic who attended mass every Sunday and would pray the Rosary daily. He showed his love for animals by donating to animal charities and by feeding the community Sparrow birds out of his windowsill. He donated to children’s charities and Catholic-associated charities. If he wasn’t watching EWTN, he’d watch football and baseball. His impact on his family and friends was vast and he is greatly missed. Visitation will be on July 19th at Hillcrest Funeral Home on Carolina, El Paso, TX from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m., with funeral service at 5:30 p.m.
