Luisa Barrera

Our beloved mother, sister, daughter, wife, grandmother, aunt, and friend Luisa (Licha) Fierro Barrera born on July 14, 1944 was called to heaven on September 23, 2016. Her father Antonio Fierro and sister Margarita Fierro precedes her in death. Luisa leaves a legacy of love and devotion to her family and friends. She is survived by her husband Manuel Barrera, mother Luz Fierro, and siblings: Antonia Mendoza, Bertha Fierro, Edwardo Fierro, Sylvia Fierro, Irma Fierro, and Raquel Penaflor. Her children, Olga Romo, Gary Barrera, and Ernest Barrera. Her loving grandchildren: Andrea Barrera, Alyssa Romo, and Jakob Romo. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Pallbearers include: Eduardo Fierro, Steven Fierro, Frank Mendoza, Mike Mendoza, Juan Mendoza, Anthony Penaflor, Marcus Penaflor, and Alton Weir. Honorary Pallbearers: Steven Fierro Jr. and Nicholas Fierro. Luisa graduated from El Paso High School in 1964. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 3, 2016 from 5pm-9pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home East, 1060 N. Carolina Dr. El Paso, TX 79915 with the vigil starting at 7 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Our Lady of the Light Church, 4700 Delta Drive. El Paso, TX. 79905 at 10:00 am.
