Manuel U. Armendariz

Manuel U. Armendariz, beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather, was called by the Lord on Monday, October 12, 2015 at the age of 86. He raised a family by working for many years in construction as a plasterer and then finished his work life as a maintenance man at Santo Nino Catholic Church. Manuel was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Manuelita Armendariz, and his brothers; Roberto, Inocente and Alfredo Armendariz. He is survived by his wife, Josefina S. Armendariz, sons Victor (Julieta) and Ricardo (Yvette), daughters; Patricia Salaiz (Benjamin), Maria Mona (Louie) and Josie Martinez (Anthony), 15 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and sisters; Carmen Armendariz, Velia Perea and Amalia Jimenez (Aurelio) as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Friday, October 16th from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 N. Carolina, with rosary beginning at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, October 17th at 9:00 AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 7712 Rosedale Street. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
