Manuel “Manny” Del Val was born on February 9, 1971, in El Paso, Texas, the third of five children in a family rooted in faith, perseverance, and love. Manuel passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on January 7, 2026.
Manny was an angel among us. He was a living testament of love, humility, patience and strength, and an instrument of the Lord's abundant grace. He was a quiet yet powerful presence. He was deeply loved and tenderly cared for throughout his life.
In his later years, as a resident of the El Paso State Supported Living Center, Manny was surrounded by a team of devoted healthcare providers and caregivers.
Manny taught us to treasure each moment, live with gratitude, and recognize that every day is a gift not to be taken for granted. To those who truly knew him, he was known first and foremost for the sense of peace and love he brought to those around him. His gentle presence quietly touched every heart and left a lasting imprint on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Even in his passing, Manny continued to bring his family closer, uniting them in faith, reflection, and gratitude. We find comfort in knowing that he now rests in God’s presence, whole and at peace, reunited with loved ones who went before him. Manuel Del Val was preceded in death by his parents, Jeronimo Del Val † and Linda Mejia Del Val†.
He is survived by his siblings Yolanda Del Val Castillo, her husband Richard, their children and grandchildren; Elizabeth Del Val Cole, her husband David, their daughter, and grandchildren; Alma Del Val Aranda, her husband Rene, and their daughters; Jose J. Del Val, his wife Claudia, and their children; and a large extended family.
Manny’s life remains a lasting testament to love, serenity, and the quiet ways in which one soul can change many. His life reflected God’s grace, and his memory will continue to guide his family in faith and love.
“Precious in the eyes of the Lord is the death of his faithful ones.”
Psalm 116:15
