His battle with serious medical issues in recent months showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Manuel came out a hero and stayed strong until the end.
Manuel met the love of his life, Francisca at a dance in Villa Lopez, Chihuahua, Mexico; after coming home from serving in the Mexican Military. They became partners in marriage ever since. They migrated to the United States 68 years ago where Manuel worked until he retired from the Sunland Park Race Track.
Manuel had a lot of life long friends that always enjoyed visiting with him. He kept people rolling in laughter because he could find humor in the most mundane life circumstances. Manuel will be greatly missed not only by his family, but by his friends.
Manuel is survived by his beautiful Wife, Francisca. He was a proud father of two sons: Arnold (Deceased), Ruben ( Keturah), and three daughters: Martha (Peter), Araceli (Jose), and Rosalia. Manuel was also survived by 9 Grandchildren and 6 Great GrandChildren.
The funeral services are scheduled for 4:00 - 6:00 pm for family Members, 6:00 - 7:00 pm for the Religious Ceremony, and 7:00 - 8:00 pm for viewing on Monday April 4, 2022 at: Hillcrest Funeral Home West. A short graveside ceremony will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 am, April 5, 2022 at: Memory Gardens of The Valley, 4900 McNutt Rd., Santa Teresa, NM,88008
