Dearest Blanca and Family....It is with great sadness that I learned of Manuel's recent passing. I will always remember our great visits with him during the many unforgettable vacations Jerry and I enjoyed at your incomparable Solicito with fondness and admiration. He was truly a kind and visionary man and will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace.

Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

With love,

We live in the world Manuel created at Solecito. Its lush yet simple surroundings are a serene haven for those lucky enough to have found it. Manuel watched over this enclave, and those of us in it. His daily survey of the grounds and ongoing projects always included a visit with us. He was eternally upbeat, with plans and possibilities. We talked about boats and cars, especially fast ones, and stories of life’s adventures.

We miss him very much. Our thoughts are with Blanca, Viviana and her family.

Blanca, I wish we were there to give you a big hug, Manuel will be missed, he always had a smile for everyone, we loved to see him driving one of his collectibles, dog in tow. He was such a kind man and a tragic loss. Carol and Doug

I am so sad at Manuel’s passing. He was such a gentleman and kind soul. In all the years of staying at Solecito I will always remember him on the beach in the mornings with his dogs, having coffee with us or a glass of wine at dinner. He will truly be missed

We are so saddened that we have lost Manuel . He offered me drive home when I was loaded down from Carmen’s veggie stand in the fall - I so wish I had accepted. I said I needed all the exercise I can get - but we chatted for a while ! You never know when you are sharing your last moment with someone 🧡 Manuel was a cool guy - and he will be so missed on the beach . Blanca and family we are sending love to
Help you through this great loss in your life 🧡

This a terribly sad moment all of us in Barra de This is the saddest news for us along Playa Blanca who knew Manuel. We knew him as an elegant gentleman who was always so friendly and helpful as our expat community grew over the twenty years Rona and I knew him.
We are especially sad for Blanca who is very dear to us and to our children as well, who always look forward to her visits to our table at Solecito.
They were among the earlier settlers from outside the region. It was Manuel who showed us around when a group of us were looking into building along Playa Blanca in 1999. He was, to us, one of the founders and the foremost contributors to our beach association.
Rest in peace, good amigo. We will miss you.
