Manuela Deeds

Manuela Deeds, 70, loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter-in-law, sister, aunt, sister-in-law, and cousin went to be with our Lord Wednesday, January 15, 2014. Our Nellie was such a special woman, loved by many and so giving. She trusted in God with all her heart and was a fighter till the end. We know God needed a special angel like her. Rest in peace, our love, we know you’re dancing in heaven already. We will love and miss you everyday. Nellie was a lifelong resident of El Paso, Texas and a member of Cristo Rey Catholic Church. She is survived by her loving husband, Terry Deeds; son, Garry Deeds and wife Denise; daughter, Linda Deeds-Loya and husband Freddy; her grandchildren, Matthew and Kaitlyn Deeds; her sister, Lorenza Ramirez and husband Gonzalo; and mother-in-law, Lorene Whipple. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews and their children, who were also very loved by her, Gerardo, Rocio, Esteban, Reyda, Dilia, Chacho, Ceci, Jaime, Lupita, Javier, Veronica, and Robert. We want to thank Hospice of El Paso, Suki, Andrea, Buen Pastor, cousin Kiko, and Rosie for their loving care and support of our Nellie. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 19, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 20, 2014 at 12:00 noon also at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
