Manuela "Nellie" Jordan Martinez, 84, received her angel wings on August 6, 2022. Nellie was born in El Paso, Texas to Felipe and Aurora C. Jordan. She was the youngest daughter in a family of eight children. She was a proud student at Bowie High School where for several years to come she attended countless Bowie High School dances with her late husband Salvador “Ata” Martinez and with lifelong friends. As a young mother, Nellie worked at Lynn’s, a clothing store in downtown El Paso. There, her love for fashion flourished and inspired her to become the founder of her very own boutique sales business. She was the buyer and seller of beautiful clothing which brought joy and smiles to her clients. One could argue whether she loved the business aspect more or making people happy. She loved being around people. Nellie's greatest love were her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was no happier than when she spent precious time with them sharing her fun-loving humor with each of them.
Nellie loved the Lord and her Catholic faith. Although she will be greatly missed, the memories she leaves are her legacy and will live in our hearts forever.
Nellie is survived by her brother Felipe Jordan and sister Josefina Morales, daughter Bonnie and husband Danny, son Larry and wife Cindy, son Salvador Michael and wife Suzie, daughter Melissa Jo and husband Will, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nellie is preceded in death by her parents and six siblings. She has joined her husband in Heaven where their dance continues.
