Marcelo Alvarez, age 87 passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018. He was born October 8, 1930 in El Paso, Texas. Marcelo is survived by; daughter Teresa Alvarez; and daughter Maria S. Frescas; brother Jesus Alvarez; four grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Visitation for Marcelo will be held Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Drive, El Paso, Texas with a vigil at 7:00 PM. Funeral mass will occur Friday, February 23, 2018 at 1:30 PM at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 7712 South Rosedale Street, El Paso, Texas. Interment will be on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragosa Road, El Paso, Texas.
