Margaret (Margy) Ann Clark born in October of 1947 in El Paso, Tx passed peacefully in El Paso, Tx on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at the age of 76. Margy, as she was known by family and friends, had a long legacy in El Paso where she grew up and lived her entire life. Everyone who had the honor and benefit to know Margy immediately understood what a warm, nurturing, generous and thoughtful person she was. Margy’s greatest characteristic was her selfless nature putting her family, community and 35-year teaching career ahead of herself. Margy had a passion for sharing her life experiences and stories of her family and friends with everyone she met. She was a wealth of knowledge, loved history, and enjoyed passing down her wisdom to family and friends. Margy was the beloved wife and best friend of her husband John Clark who survives her and lives in El Paso, Tx at their home of 49 years. John and Margy were married in 1974, and she was a devoted and compassionate mother to her two sons John A. Clark (El Paso, Tx) and R. Scott Clark (Austin, Tx) and doted over her three grandchildren Charlotte (14), Jackson (12) and Taylor (9). Margy is also survived by her loving sister Mary Armstrong (El Paso, Tx). Margy’s love and support extended beyond her immediate family to include her nephews, friends and neighbors. Margy was very active in all of her kids/nephews/friends lives ensuring everyone made it to their extracurricular events and sports, even acting as a leader in the Boy Scouts, all sacrificing her own time to support the ones she loved. She will always be remembered as a friend, mentor, educator and most of all a loving mother. Memorial services will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home at 1060 N. Carolina, 79915 El Paso, Tx at 5:00 – 8:00pm December 20, 2023. Gravesite services will be at Fort Bliss 5200 at Fred Wilson, 79906 El Paso, Tx at 11:30am December 21, 2023. In remembrance of Margy’s life, the family asks those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to the American Liver Foundation or American Cancer Society.
