Maria A. Hernandez passed at the age of 79 on Monday March 30, 2026. Born January 4, 1947, in Chamberino, New Mexico. A Beloved Wife, Mother, Mother-in-law, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, and Friend. Known as Mary, she was a long-time resident of El Paso Texas.

Mary is preceded in death by 1 sister and grandchild Sarah N. Hernandez and is survived by her lifelong partner, best friend and husband of 60 years, Jose “Joe” Hernandez, 3 Children: Jesse (Terry) Hernandez, Christy (Rey) Macias, Erika Hernandez, and 6 Grandchildren: Jesse Ryan, Joseph Michael, Bianca, Allen, Caitlin, Gloria, Silas, and 1 Great Grandchild: Skye Nayeli, 2 Sisters and 2 Brothers.

She will always be lovingly remembered by family and friends who will deeply miss her.

Visitation will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915, on April 8, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with the Rosary at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915, on April 8, 2026, at 7:00 pm.

A Funeral Mass will take place at San Antonio De Padua Catholic Church, 503 Hunter Dr, El Paso, Texas 79915, on April 9, 2026, at 12:30 pm, followed by a Graveside Service at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, TX 79906, USA, on April 9, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
