Today we would like to honor Maria Socorro Hernandez (mostly known as Mom or Socorrito). She was a beautiful and wonderful person inside and out. Her love, compassion, and humility for others was indescribable and very sincere. Mom’s spirit was always so positive, loving, kind, and very patient. This always drew so many family, friends, and strangers close to her and she was always surrounded by them. Socorro leaves behind her loving family, Ines Hernandez (husband) Christie McMahan (daughter) Imelda Hernandez (daughter) Tony Hernandez (son), John McMahan (son) and Alonzo Hernandez (son). Thank you God for blessing us with your Angel, and thank you to our family, friends, and Hospice of El Paso for all the love and support. Visitation Thursday, August 24th from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Kaster-Maxon & Futrell, 8817 Dyer, with Vigil at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass Friday, August 25th at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 2709 Alabama. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.
