Beloved wife, daughter, mother, aunt, sister, and grandmother passed away on August 6, 2025.
Maruca was born on October 30, 1956 in Uvalde, TX.
She was the wife of Primitivo Lamas, whom shared 49 years together after meeting in San Jose, CA and then brought to El Paso, TX where they later raised 7 wonderful children. Although Maruca went through several medical issues in her life, that never stopped her from being the brave strong woman she was and would always fight till the very end.
Maruca was known for her creativity of her arts and crafts, the love of her cooking enchiladas, mole, pozole, chile rellenos, baking, and cant forget her delicious homemade flour torillas. ♥ Let's not forget that she was caring and loving person who was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. More than anything she loved her family dearly and loved spending as much time she could with them.

A visitation for Maria will be held Monday, August 18, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary service at 6:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Drive, El Paso, TX 79915. The graveside service will occur Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Mt Carmel Cemetery, 401 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, TX 79907.
