Maria Estela Lopez

Estela, foremost was a mother who was always supportive, encouraging, and proud of her children. She enjoyed shopping and making her home beautiful and welcoming for family and friends. She loved fashion and conversations about family. Her family's well being was the most important thing to her. She fought cancer with strength and courage all the while never burdening her family with the pain she endured.

Estela graduated from Bowie High School Class of 1969. She was a Eucharist minister at Santo Nino Jesus de Atocha Catholic Church. She was a faithful parishioner for over 25 years.

Estela is survived by her husband Ernesto Lopez, of 46 years, her daughters Rachel, Lisa, and sons Stephen and JR Lopez. She is survived by her siblings Maria, Cecy, Rosa, and Juan and father Cirilo and late mother Angelita Hernandez. She was also dearly loved by her grandchildren Aaron, Brian, Carissa, and Lily and daughter and son in law Brenda and Frank.

Our mother, the heart of the family, will always remain with us forever.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Crestview Funeral Home from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm with Vigil Service at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Santo Nino De Atocha Catholic Church at 9:00 am. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery at 10:00 am.
