A loving devoted wife, mother and grandmother, MARIA ELENA PONCE,92, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 11, 2014. Mrs. Ponce was born on August 18, 1922 in Chihuahua, Mexico. Mrs. Ponce is survived by two sons Arturo M. Ponce, and his wife Maria S. Ponce, and Luis R. Ponce his wife Lily all of El Paso, Cousin Ismael Herrera and his wife Margarita. She is also survived by five grandchildren Vero and husband Mario Cabrera, Adrian, Adriana, Frank, Luz, Robert, Sarah Ponce and four great grandchildren Ashley, Anthony, Amber, and Harley. Visitation will be held on Monday from 5-9pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with Vigil Service at 7pm Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10 am at La Purisima Socorro Mission. Interment to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. We would like to give special thanks to all our friends of the Community of Socorro, Father A. Maldonado, and Deacon William for all their support.
