Maria del Rosario Salas was born in San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora on November 21, 1954. She passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on January 13, 2026. She joins her oldest son, Lucio Adan, and her brother Luis Soria, in the Heavenly Kingdom.
Maria was a mother, a wife, a sister, and friend where she fulfilled each role unconditionally. Maria had an infectious personality that left a heavy influence on those who lived with her and those whom she encountered throughout her life. Maria was a self-starter all her life and admirably self-sufficient. She had the tenacity to pursue business ownership early in her life and her hard-working spirit never diminished. Her wild spirit and fierce approach to life strengthened who she became.
It is important to mention above all else, Maria turned to her faith and to God for her strength and healing through hard times and gave praise for all of the blessings and gifts in her life. Finally, her family and friends would be remiss to not speak about how her amazing cooking made everyone happy and loved.
She is survived by siblings, children, grandchildren, and a great-grandchild that will miss her dearly and carry her in their hearts.
Visitation will take place on January 26, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 pm. at Funeraria del Angel Restlawn, located at 8817 Dyer St, El Paso, Texas, 79904.
Funeral mass will be January 27, 2026, at 10:00 am at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, located at 10000 Pheasant Rd, El Paso, Texas, 79924.
