

Martha Arriola Saldivar, 77 was born on 4/24/38 in El Paso. She attended St. Joseph Catholic School and graduated from Austin High. She married Armando Saldivar and had three children. In 1961 she was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and bore her cross for 53 years. She never let her illness get the best of her and in addition to being a devoted wife and mother; she worked as a school teacher at Our Lady of Assumption at the LULAC Villa del Norte Laundry. On November 7th she was given new hands, new feet, and a new commission: to worship, and dance before the throne of the Most High for all eternity. Surrounded by her loved ones, she was carried to the Lord in the arms of our Blessed Virgin of Guadalupe to whom she was highly devoted. She was preceded in death by her parents Vicente and Marta, husband Armando Sr, siblings; Rosario, Guadalupe, Vicente, and Nicholas. She is survived by her siblings; Mary, Enrique, Tony, Max, Francisco, Tom, and John: her children; Martha, Katherine, Armando Jr. and Robert Dominguez, and her grandson Jose Rivera. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2015 from 5:00-9:00pm at F.D.A. Martin East, with vigil at 7:00pm. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 11:15am at St. Mark Church with interment to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to F.D.A.
