Martin was born on December 18th 1953 to Edmundo and Alicia Olivares. He was a graduate of Cathedral Catholic High School and worked at Investment Builders. He was happily married to his Love, Ana Y Olivares for 17 wonderful years.
He was an active member of the Cristo Rey Catholic Church community, where he started the Bereavement Ministry to help people find healing from grief after a loss of a loved one. He will be most remembered for the beautiful rosaries he would make and gift to others to encourage devotion to our Blessed Mother Mary.
He loved making people smile and laugh with his simple, sometimes corny jokes. He was a man of few words but his actions showed his love for others. He enjoyed watching and reading sci-fi books and was able to tell the story chapter by chapter.
He is survived by his wife Ana, sons Marty and Marcos Olivares and stepchildren Jackie, Kenny, and Adrian. Sisters Francis Gutierrez, Ramona Molina and brother Cecilio Olivares. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, near and far, who will miss their daily walks around the block.
He was preceded in death by his parents Edmundo and Alicia Olivares and brother Isidro.
Although he will be deeply missed, we rejoice that he is in the presence of our beloved Lord.
