Our loving father in Heaven called Mary Ann Dow home on Thursday, January 23, 2020. She was a beloved mother, sister and aunt. Graduated from the Hotel Dieu School of Nursing in 1968. Worked at Providence Memorial Hospital for over 40 years. Mary Ann was a super academically brilliant OR Nurse and Director of Education at Providence Hospital. A single mom who made it look easy. Charming, engaging and funny. She was very inspiring and always kind. A great career mentor, devoted to her church, her family and her Catholic faith. Mary Ann powered through life’s difficulties including the loss of two children-with faith, hope, and positivity. She was beautiful and graceful. Mary Ann was preceded in death by Carol Ann McCoy and Erin Marie Dow. Survived by daughter Elizabeth C. McCoy, son Eugene C. Dow and sister, Sharon Stephenson Thompson.
Visitation will be on Thursday, February 6, 2020 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with Vigil service at 7:00 pm at Hillcrest Funeral Carolina. Funeral Mass, Friday, February 7, 2020 at 9:30 am at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 2301 Zanzibar Rd., El Paso TX 79925. Rite of Committal will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
